So the bighead is a carp? Or catfidh? It's got those silver bug eyes.
I have a jet outboard. some claim that they are the worst for making the silvers jump?
I'll get a photo of my flint hooks if I can find them

Bigheads are another type of Asian carp. They are a lot like the jumping Silver carp, they do not jump and get a lot ALOT bigger. We have plenty of both. The really large bigheads are very shy. We shoot them top feeding with the help of dim L.E.D.s at night. When you get to know what your looking for you can see them a way off. We slowly troll towards them pick one in the dark and get drawn, then the "light" man shines them and WHAMO!!!! your boat is going on a mini Nantuckett sleigh ride. We always have someone  waiting to put another arrow in them when we get them to surface. 40lbrs and up have no trouble pulling a 16-18ft boat. Anybody wants to go, and is in the West Ky area give me a holler.

I live on the coast of West Fla. fishing is what I do for fun and food .Snook season just started and there's nothing like a big snook to get the ol' ticker pounding.

No my biggest, but my most memorable. About 12 pounds, on a grasshopper on the Black Eagle fly rod.
