How thick does a big bag of plastic bags have to be to stop an arrow?

Enough to fill it and the more the better.

A dog food bag packed full of plastic bags, other dog food bags and cardboard lasts longer in my opinion. Put that in front of old ply wood or hang an old blanket up as a back stop. Even filled a cardboard box with compacted leaves and pine needles.
