Curly pen from Stringman
« on: August 18, 2014, 11:21:28 pm »
I got a nice little surprise in the mail today.  Scott, AKA Stringman sent me a beautiful ink pen made from some of the curly osage.  I can't wait to see how it looks as it darkens.  Thanks again Scott!

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

What's the draw weight?  Draw length? Can you draw with it?

Looks like the profile of a Yurok or Hupa bow from the west coast!  Wonder if he did that on purpose???

Now you just need to learn to write Yoder, I can help you. VERY cool work Scott!

Looking forward to seein the rest of this project. BTW, a friend of mine did the pen work, I just supplied the Osage (which came from the bandsaw pit at the classic.) I'm with you Clint, can't wait to see it darken!

Be careful. That pen may be loaded with toothpick arrows!
Awesome work and wood.
