The pic with the bow string up. Is where it was cut from. And those are it's sister saplings waiting.. to be harvested. And as a side note. The thorns grow back if u cut them off.

Buddy of mine did one like this a long while back.  The bark cracked from tip to tip.  Nice job on keeping it together.
