Does anyone know what kind of battery charger I would need to make a decent feather burner? Or is there something else that would be better? Thanks for the help.

You can use an electric soldering gun.
I think either a 6 volt or 12 volt will work also but wait until someone know what they are talking about.

I would like to know as well. Maybe some pictures of your home made ones as well! Patrick

Have you checked our "How To" section. If not there check TradGang's "How To" section. I know there are a few there.

turn it down to 6 volt, but if you have a new style charger that yoy cant get the clamps to spark it wont work, some chargers if the battery is dead it wont charge and those kind wont work

Thanks Buddy, that makes sense on why the one I have doesn't work.

How was you trying to do that with a battery charger? I have one of the older kind. What kind of wires are you using? Sorry if i hijack this thread but my question is for, Tiredtim or I guess anyone for that matter thanks, Patrick.

Here is a feather burner I made a few years ago. I bought the ribbons from 3rivers. I hooked an old battery charger up to each bolt and set it on 6 volts. I would unhook the charger after each arrow and brush off the ribbon. If I left it hooked up for to long it would trip a breaker in the charger.
