Another elm bow, sorry folks no FD
« on: July 27, 2014, 09:47:54 am »
As the title says, no FD. I had just gotten it packaged to ship to a friend and there was no way I was taking it out again.
Its mid 40`s and a lovely thing to shoot. Very quick and very easy on the hand. Only took a few arty ones to show him.
Horn nocks and insert shelf.

Horn shelf insert

Hope it gets there OK as it looks a little "rocket launchery"? for want of a better term lol

Was a nightmare to package so it doesnt get destroyed on the way there, holds about 3 inches of reflex so wouldnt fit in a tube.

Wow I love the curves on that. I like how thin the limbs are. It looks very light in the hand

Thanks folks.
Yeah it does look a bit dodgy to say the least. Good job its staying in the UK and not off to the middle east. Just needs a set of cross-hairs on the top to finish it off.

Blackhawk, yeah its a pain in the butt. Might be handy to have a post here with tips and tricks for packaging bows.
I had to split the tube down one side, slide the bow in using wedges to keep it open then add those daft top bits, yeah then 100 ft of gaffa tape.

Will hopefully get the new owner to do a FD.
