Actually the question that comes to my mind is how much will the FF stretch. We all know dacron will stretch a lot before breaking but will the FF stretch as much or will it reach a point where it will break before the dacron will.  If the later then if you have too few strands of FF then those may break and compromise the whole string

Marc I believe the breaking strength of FF is all of double that of B-50. If the string is a 50/50 blend that B50 will be long gone by the time the FF goes.

How do you account for that thickness when you serve then? Double serve? I generally make 14 strand strings because, when the serving is added, it's the perfect diameter for nocking. imho

I pad the loops with 8" sections of b 50 and use thicker serving material.

I found I really like artificial sinew for padding the loops and building up the serving area. Only need a few strands of the 70# stuff for an arrow to nock well with a single serving.
