Ohio Society of Traditional Archers
« on: June 19, 2014, 10:07:02 pm »
I am posting this shoot as a possibility for getting Pearly and Roy together!
this is a nice trad shoot that I attend because its close to home and in memory of Sonny!
Rush Creek Sportsmans Club hosts the June shoot for OSTA
July 12th and 13th Bell center Ohio
It's a great time,  but little or no bow building going on,  just a strait up Trad shoot!
If your not busy come on out and sit and talk a spell and have fun shooting !

Would love to make that but bad timing for me this year,Sonny was a great guy that I thought a lot of. Is this something that has just started in Honor of him? Never heard of it before, Gary and I have talked about that for several years, why someone didn't do something like that in memory of him and all he did for Traditional archery. Glad to hear that they are.  :) Is this an annual event Guy ?

Pappy
this is just a shoot that the club that Sonny was a part of holds and it is close to me so I go .
Some times his wife is there and sometimes I get to see or shoot against one of Sonny's bows
I enjoy the Memories, and  once in a while they do something special because of him  but memories fade
I will try to get them to do more in his Honor and Maybe they can put something together but as I said Memories fade , so who knows , maybe if we all committed to coming we could persuade them to a memorial shoot
Something to work forward to I guess !
Take care my friend !

Had a good weekend
a young fellow was there wanting to get started making a bow so I enjoyed some time sharing what little I know about this great addiction
Talked to the folks there about Sonny and a memorial event for him , they entered it into there new business at the meeting sat , so we will see if anyone wants to step up and organize it
I was told that Sonny's wife is not good and needs constant care now so you all pray for her

Thank you OSTA folks !
A special thanks to Matt for stepping into the leadership of that club, its alot of work but you are doing a great job !
