Marking points?

What tool do you use to engrave a name or number into a point that you made? Does it need to be a diamond engraver?

Yes, a diamond pen scriber is what most people use. I would point you to some providers, but that is not allowed on this site. It looks like a pen, but has a diamond tip.

Me, I just use a sharpie or pigma pen since I don't really sell points and have few concerns about what happens to them once they leave my possession.

Also be aware that if you mark the point near an edge, it can be knapped off easily. It would be best to mark one in a less alterable part of the point.

Thanks D.K., I just sent a few points to a guy and he asked if I marked them. Never thought about it before. You can personal message me with a suggestion. I do not think that violates the rules.
