I just got back from a trip to Quebec, for a wedding, and the B&B we stayed at had a hill behind it that was 75% HHB, probably upwards of 100 Ironwood trees.  Many of them were 6" in diameter and up and several were straight with little twist.

Thanks Marc....hopefully ya got some  straight hhb is tough to come by in my neck of the woods even tho were loaded with it...funny you mention it about a lot of em being nice...I find that a lot with hhb groves...once u find one there's always a bunch more around...and most the time its all junk...but when you do find a good one here,it seems like the grove contains several good specimens...must be a genetic thing I'm guessing?  This bow(and its sister) doesn't even have 2° of twist I bet...there clean clean clean,zero ripples on the back,and straight about every which way..truly a pleasure to work with,and IMO heavy war bow worthy wood...but what the heck am I gonna do with one of those

Unfortunately no.  I wasn't there to harvest wood and we were only there for a day, plus I know where there are pure stands of HHB much closer to home.
