Wifes new bow

My wife found her old bow a bit slow at the Classic. Like a good husband I got to work asap. It is a bamboo, ipe hickory lam, slight reflex. It is 64 ntn pulling 44# at her 26" draw. It is a rocket launcher!

Beautiful! Nice work on the bow ,too............................... Oh come on , you had to be expecting that!
. I wish I could get my wife interested in shooting. Maybe now that the kids are getting into it she might give it a try. Cherish the time you get to spend together , whatever you're doing.

But why is the shelf so high above the grip ?? I assume that's by design ?

I cut the shelf in a bit deep. Trying to give it a lil beef in that area.

Great looking bow, Keith. Between the three lams you got it should be plenty tough enough to drop that shelf a little.

If you mean on the strike plate, no it is not tape it is brain tan off a deer that grew up around our farm and had the air let out of him by a .45 flint lock round ball that I molded in my fireplace. I then scraped tanned and broke the hide which is now on the shelf. More or less.

Nice work Wildman. Looks like a shooter.
