I can't remember what wood the tip overlays are. But you should see them in the sunlight . Maybe Bob will chime in and tell us again.

Thank you all for your comments, it is good to be part of the trade agin this year. Bob, the tip overlays are made of flooring samples labled rosewood, but I read rosewood can mean different things.

Not sure what Bob stained it with or his technique. But I would love to no how to do it like that.

Black leather dye and varathane brand cabernet wood stain. The hardest part is getting the leather dye to blend, need to be quick while it is still wet.
