That was one of the better pieces Daniel.  Here is another piece.  Nothing but early wood for an inch down or more.  The few good looking rings aren't near as thick as they look in the picture.

I'd like to see someone build a bow from wood such as this.......

Sinew back it and I think you'd have a great shooter... ???

 Clint, last year I had about 15 staves with rings like that, I could chase them with a scraper in about 15 min they were so thin. The bows all came out great. Not my fastest but very acceptable.

Thin rings don't bother me,I like them just fine,but if the early wood is as thick then I won't use it,it's nothing but crust.  :) the thinner the early ring the better I like it. JohnW you mean the world ant flat. ??? :-\ ;) :) Just to be clear,about any wood will make a bow and if you have no choice go for it ,but if you can pick then why not use better stuff. :)
