Snyder & Etley
« on: March 18, 2014, 02:51:34 pm »
A local asked me to make him a couple points for his collection. He had some very specific ideas on how they should look and I was fortunate to match them pretty close. Both from Burlington.

God bless!

Very nice! Look very authentic.  The   Snyder looks like it had some squirrely stuff in it. Nice job.

Scott, looks like some very challenging material. Is that a healed fracture right in the middle of the Etley :o And the Snyders looks like it has layers of hard and then chalky layers. Excellent job of getting flakes to run. I like the old look, your client should be real pleased with both of those points. Bob

Yes, the Snyder does have a grainy layer that made driving flakes a challenge. Even so, I was able to keep it fairly thin. The etley does indeed have a healed scar that can be seen from either side. The symmetry was hard to nail, but I think it turned out nice.

Nice points Stringman. That Etley is sweet!
