Looking for some horns for a drinking vessel.
« on: January 21, 2014, 02:22:00 am »
I have cane for arrows, leather for whatever and some stave's black locust, persimmon and ash all aged over 2 yrs. I'm looking for some horns that I can make into drinking horns. I don't really care what the color is or what they are from, unicorn would be mythical, but I want them to be able to hold at least a pint of whatever I'm drinking. If you have any other things you may be looking for I might have them just ask.

Kind regards,
Jay

Howdy,  PM sent.   I've got several horns, just sitting around.   Ron

Here are three of the staves from left to right ash 72" persimmon 68" persimmon 68" and all sizes of cane shafts.

The two persimmon have a bit of twist to them but I have been able to bend with heat just fine. All of the staves have been dried for at least 4 yrs.

One of my clients works at a vet and he said he can get me all the horns I need, so thanks for all the replies and offers but I have plenty to work with now.
