In 25 years of bow hunting, this has to be the most satisfying season I've ever had. I haven't gotten to spend as much time in the woods as usual this season. But the days I've been lucky enough to go have been nothing short of amazing! I've missed a big buck, killed a turkey, had several close encounters with some of the biggest deer I've ever seen. (even managed to kill one

) And finally...I killed one with one of my stone points

It's just a young doe, but I'm as proud of her as any buck I've killed

The shot was 20 yards from a ground blind. And the arrow struck about 2" behind the last ribs, just below center and poked out about 2" behind the other side shoulder. She ran a total of about 150 yards. I shot her Saturday evening, but didn't recover it until the next morning.
I need to thank WillH for trading bows with me

He used this same one to kill a nice buck earlier this year.
