That's too bad man.  I hate to see that kind of negligence,  it really makes you wonder what happened.  To see that kind of a break it had to make quite a cracking sound.  I'm sure someone dishonest heard it break and simply ignored it.  Makes me upset >:(.

I've had a few shipping disasters with Canada Post. One involving a forklift... a finished bow packed in a heavy cardboard carpet roll was sideways on a forklift with a bunch of other parcels and the operator ran through a door. The lift fit... the bow did not. Snapped it in half. Canada Post wanted to know if it could be repaired.  ::) It took months before the insurance claim was settled.

Ooooooohhh...  Now that looks like something that would happen to me in my luck...
That's why I always package bows or bow materials in a scheule 40 PVC pipe with taped on endcaps. Stick a package label on it and it ships beautifully.

That's the norm HL, but this bow had too much reflex and would probably need a 6" pipe, big money to buy and ship that bugger. Crap happens when you handle millions of packages every 24 hour period. Doesn't make the sting go away, but its reality.

I feel Your Pain. I have a 1956 Bear Kodiak Special, 64", 52#, that was near mint. Purchased it from another collector. He packed it well, shipped it insured, and I recieved it in 2 pieces(it was a one piece bow)...Insurance paid off, but the bow will never be whole again...

Crying shame there. They hire some interesting characters at the Post Office, or so it seems....

That sucks Pearlie.  I just shipped that gator grip bow and arrows.  I used UPS and paid an outrageous price with insurance.  But, I don't want to worry about it.  Ugh...
