With a hevier arrow than 10 grains per pound, you are smoking about half the bows out there shooting a lighter arrow than you. Drop your arrow weight to 10gpp and I bet you will be pushing 180fps. Of course, thats all personal prefernce. A dead deer dont care how fast the arrow got there. :D

The cell phone did not do this bow justice, buddy!  Wow, what a hotshot she is!  At 47 lbs she is not going to wear out your shoulders shooting, either.  I feel the ground trembling in fear from here.  I think maybe the deer need to start getting worried too!

Bow looks really fine, but how do you calculate fps?

Sick!!! Nice work man. I didn't know you were allergic to osage. I wouldn't know what to do with myself! You can def thin those tips and outer limbs down a little and get a few more fps. Sweet bow tho none the less.

You don't.  A machine called a chronograph has a set of photoelectric eyes set a known distance apart.  When an object passes over them, the machine measures the time interval between the two interrputions and converts this to your feet per second readings.

Isnt there also a way to do a calculation based off arrow weight, bow weight, and distance traveled?

I can attest to the speed of this bow when we read 163fps, then when we chronograped it today after the tips were thinned....... Well, I will just let iowabow tell you.  :-X
