Got this e/m from someone wanting to know about a bow she found in her grandfathers attic.  Very curious looking thing and it looks like something made out of glass, not something I follow.

Anyone ever see one of these and do they know who made it?

Marc I wonder if somebody made two tapered antenna's into a take down. They appear to be round. That's a cool bow.

There was a steel one on Ebay the other day with a couple wood bows. Looked very similar.

One of the bows made like that was called a "Stream light" bow, made from two fishing rods by a fishing tackle company. I have seen a number of these and surprisingly they are pretty good shooters, they were cheap and fairly popular in the day.

Hello - I am resending this email since I do not know if you got the first. I am having quite some trouble identifying the maker of this 2-piece take down that I found with my grandfather's belonging's. (pics are attached to this email).

The 2-piece bow was found inside a box with another bow which has "the same style writing" on it and the Darton recurve I have posted here:  ebay.com/itm/111211367240?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649

So the questions are - are these bows from the same maker - Darton? how old are they? est. value? Do they belong together as a set?

Marc, It's a Stream Eze made by Southbend a fishing tackle company in Mich. They were sold about the early 50's and into the 80's. Some were into the upper 60 lb. draw weight. I have one that pulls 37lb. Cool little bow, shoots surprisingly well.
