I split a-lot of Osage and Hickory and this year was my biggest battle with these little  devils. I sprayed them down a couple of times this past summer and still had them. Going to look for a different insecticide this coming spring and summer. Your best way to stop them is like what everybody else says. Take the bark and sap off.

South Dakota is too cold and dry for borers. Great place for storing osage.  Plus it cures much more effectively in our climate.  Not saying anything....just saying.
