New member new bow
« on: October 31, 2013, 12:05:38 am »
Well my name is Tom and I am new to this awesome site and loving it, i browsed around for about a week while making my first bow and my backing is drying as i type this. It will be done tomorrow and ready to fling arrows. May not be a perfect but definitely learned from it and ready to make more. It's a red oak board bow I will post pics tomorrow. I already bought another board to attempt a wide recurve.

I'm also looking for a spot to hunt hogs here in the mountains. I'm not sure where Raeford is but I'd guess around river swamps and drainages.

Welcome to the site!  Don't waste time cutting, sealing, and drying staves!  By the time you make a few bows it'll be ready.
