Knapped knife from Flintwalker
« on: August 31, 2013, 01:51:47 pm »
I while back I did a trade with Shannon.  He offered to knap me a knife blade.  I sent him the jawbone and this is what he did with it.  This knife is amazing.  The blade is perfectly shaped.  His knapping skills are top notch.  I can't get over how cool this thing is.  I definitely came out ahead on this trade.  Thanks again Shannon.

The jawbone is from a large Rottweiler that was causing a lot of problems in our area.  One day it made the mistake of attacking our livestock.  After nature ran its course I retrieved the skull.

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

That looks wicked it could do damage from either end. Until I slowed down and backed out of the porn I thought it was a wolf jaw. Sorry for the dog but he can't be killing live stock. Once he starts he will never stop.

That's a sweet blade and great job on the handle.  And that's a nice piece of osage it's laying on.  Looking forward to see some bows from the rest of the log.  :)

I agree wholly. Clint, you are officially the only person I know with a Rottweiler jawbone knife :o
