Glass knife (second knife)
« on: September 30, 2013, 09:15:15 pm »
Old glass shelving with yew handle. Got impatient with this and since I hadn't gotten a chance to cook up some pine pitch glue, this was hafted with hot glue gun glue. I did cover the wrap with PPG though, after I cooked it up, so it looks a bit more primitive (not that clear glass is primitive, heh)

That's one way to recycle an old shelf :). Aughta work just fine.

I once mixed wood glue and wood ashes to make artificial pine pitch.  Worked great. Nice knife. I like the yew handle

Nice knife. Interestingly, your pictures don't show up in google chrome. Not sure why, or if it is just my chrome. Slow day at work, I'll run some experiments...
