2 knives
« on: February 18, 2014, 10:44:55 pm »
I finished a few knives for peeweeyearnin in a quick trade for some sweet obsidian slabs and big chunks. Hadnt made any knives for a while since with bowyers bug bit hard! was pretty proud of these and as soon as I finish some underconstruction bows I will be sharpening steel again!

First knife is a 6-7" skinner, birch handle (not sure what type) with bi-color pins and a hawk emblem with markings burned into it. just realized I never took a picture of the burning I did!

The second knife is a persian skinner, 8" long. Handle has one steel pin and is made of maple burl with spalted maple over lays.

bothe sheaths are made from veg tanned chocolate leather and kodiak stone oil leather with light buckskin colored lace.

bowtartist: Wish I did but no, some blanks I had started a long time ago for some one who dipped out on an order so now I have about 8 blades that where supposed to match with birch epoxied onto the blanks handle just waiting to be presents, trades, and a few might go with a guy to his brothers gun shop to be sold.
