honey super all full

Annette and I are new beekeepers and amazed at how well that are doing. The honey super is not almost full!

Now ya need to get yourself a bee escape and start looking for an extractor to borrow.  Looks good!! I may need to get into my hives today.  dp

I just use a little smoke ( pine needles ) and a bee brush , with only six hives ( soon to be seven , an old swarm catch box that I put out three years ago has a swarm in it from this year ) I pull one frame at a time and gently brush the bees off , I can pull only the frames that are fully capped that way and get them back on quickly .

I would love to learn to do this but I've picked up too many hobbies lately.

I installed another honey super and a top screen today!  I am startin to count my chicken

Just remember to leave enough on so they can make it through the winter.
