Have some Crow feathers.  ? questions:
1) Are they any good
2) What is the best way to clean them
3) Is there a problem using them as crows die of West nile..

Don't like the fact that they are all BLAck...   but one can allways dye them or paint them, What is Best.. for changing color..?

Primary crow feathers should be fine for fletching. I'm not sure of the legality of using them though. There is an open hunting season on them so I assume they would be legal to use. 
  You will have to stick with the black because you won't be able to stain or bleach them.
  You can wash them off with warm soapy water, shake the water out and lay them flat to dry. When dry they will look messed up but if you run them through the steam of a tea kettle they will come back to normal.

There is no closed season or bag limit on crows in BC.  So should be fine.  Why can't you just give them a quick shot of flourescent paint at the base of the feather..?  Or would it take away from the flite characteristcis and make it a Flu-Flu..?
