A couple of orange vest in trees around the property will help deter poachers.   Pat

Great idea pat - definitely hanging some vests before rifle opens - every year some idiot or another sits in our creek bottom, but can't see our house on top of the hill behind the pines. Dangerous stuff - don't wanna make the news that way....

We found out by accident about how well this works when one of our club members came down from his stand one evening and didn't realize he had forgotten his vest in the tree. He usually takes off his vest and wraps it around the tree while he's on stand. You could see that vest from many parts of the club...especially from the county road. ;)     Pat

I was hunting this farm that had a gravel road running through it to access another property. At the locked gate of the other farm was a sign which read the following:

Absolutely No Hunting!
Violators Will Be Shot!
I WILL DO IT!

It was signed by the landowner.

I'm pretty sure that sign would help make a trespasser think twice! :)

Didnt they used to hang preditory birds from posts to deter other birds? A few tresspassers hanging from the fence might work!  ;D

Now that's an idea >:D.

But get a group of "mountain men" coming down at them from on top of a hill with rifles and bows and they leave in a hurry ;).
