A hand full of Flint Ridge points

made up a matched set of Flint Ridge hunting points for a fellow. all abo tools as usual :)   all that is left is the final sharpening and they are ready to go to work.

Really like the shape of the notched area! I dont know why I always side notch because the notching on your points make a simple point look really cool. I use the ulna bone for notching what are you using? Are you work toward a core or are these made from spawled flakes?  Its seems faster to me to make hunting points from nice flakes if you have them.

Thanks Guys.

I just use a sharp antler tine to notch. as it wears down I grind it down on the side and it turns in more of a blade shape which still seems to work real well. Notching is the only think I use the tool for so it lasts quite a while.
They are also from spalled off flakes. I ordered a box from the ol interweb and figured I'd make due with whatever came. There were a couple flakes in the box, but mostly it was thick odd shaped spalls, which was ok cuz I was able to spall them into what I was looking for
