quicky arrows for longbow
« on: June 12, 2013, 08:22:25 pm »
I put a copper arrow plate into my longbow, made some black cane/boo arrows with steel tips. Copper plate is exact center of bow.
I usually draw these arrows to the last node before point.
Self nocked, fletched with turkey and sinew, high carbon points, 31" shafts, 1" point(some overlap).
Quickie set cause I might need some arrows before vacation.
Non-primitive sharpie and spray paint to color arrows.
Electrical tape waterproofing.

Functional. They don't have to look professional to be deadly.

Could we get a look at the points?

Sure- they are just pieces of strap steel(which I figured out are high carbon by making a tiny knife out of one, the sparks branch more than a sparkler!)
I made the points different lengths so the nocks are perfectly level in my quiver... plus I am going to be shooting into sand, so I don't need normal points.
Now I will stop typing and go take a pic ;)
