Question on wood billets

Hey guys, what sort of profile should I put on a wood billet to use for some abo reducing? Round face, squared, angled?
Rock is going to be cheshire quartzite. Beastly stuff makes me sweat just thinking about it.

Watched hillbilly and James at the classic five years ago use dogwood billets they were rounded on the ends. Man rock!
