Hackberry bow !
« on: May 03, 2013, 10:04:23 pm »
48 pounds at 25 inchs ( my draw ) I've drawn it to 28 I'm guessing it's upper 50 s at 28 argentine lignum vitae tip over lays idk why but the tips were light brownish color an I guess they reacted with the finish and turned really dark bluish color looks cool tho it's overall a decent bow none of my bows are perfect I just make them good enough for me and that's all tht matters

Looks nice man. How you like hackberry? It's gonna be one of the next woods I try. Thanks for sharing the bow.

Oh yeah, now that is looking niiicee. Love hackberry, it makes such a nice shooting bow.
"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

when i'm working on things my ancestors worked, singing the songs my ancestors sang, dancing the same dances, speaking the same language, only then  I feel connected to the land, THIS land, where my ancestors walked for thousands of years...
