Thanks man this is my first hackberry bow and I now love hackberry it's easy to work with and when you steam it it bends like rubber. I almost like it more than Osage

looks nice!   I'm definitely a hackberry addict.
the biggest challenge is avoiding set. its verey forgiving wood, but like hickory it seems to be made of very bendy fibers.
and once they're bent... well , they just don't spring back....so make sure to toast the belly!
when i'm working on things my ancestors worked, singing the songs my ancestors sang, dancing the same dances, speaking the same language, only then  I feel connected to the land, THIS land, where my ancestors walked for thousands of years...
