arrow?
« on: March 25, 2013, 08:38:17 pm »
I just read the thread about home depot bamboo arrows. I purchased some and have been straightening them. This is my first try at bamboo arrows and they are pretty straight. Is it possible to get them laser beam straight and is that necessary?

It is possible but not necessary.IMO  As long as the point and nock line up(within reason) the arrow should fly fine. I always do a spin test with every arrow I make to be sure it spins true. I usually place the point on the tip of my finger and give it a spin. If it wobbles at all it is examined and restraightened or sometimes it is just the point isn't seated true.

Thankyou! So far they are fun to make and cheap. Can see them becoming my favorite arrows.

They are pretty tough too.
I like river cane, it is even stronger and more durable.
