Natural materials for string servings

Want to know if anyone knows of a natural material that can be used for string servings, as opposed to something like dacron B-50.

Silk thread.  I use it for nock points and haven't yet tried it for serving, but know some people do.

String serving is only to protect the string from wear from the arrow nock. Any string material, natural or not, can be used. Some are more durable than others so the less durable will have to be replaced when their protection is questionable.
