Trad Bowyers Bible, I think Vol 2, has an extensive chapter on strings and making strings from organic material.

If I can ever get it finished.  I'll post a dogbane string as part of the stone age witch hazel bow that I'm working on. Hopefully I'll put it up early next week.  Like the others said check the TBB's.

I'm going to include making a bowstring in my double-curve bow build-along.  I make my strings out of sinew but I've got some deer hide.....so I think I'll try my hand at making a rawhide string as well.
Any critter tastes good with enough butter on it.
