Sneak Boat Question
« on: February 16, 2013, 12:51:37 pm »
Got a couple of big ponds to fish this year and thought to
pick up a small jonboat that I could haul in the back of the truck.
Paddle power only. Ran across an Eagle sneak boat, 10', around
35 pounds.

Any of you guys paddled or fished out of one of these things?
Kayak paddle maybe?

I love fishing out of a canoe. Set them up with a portage bar and you can go any where. I set up pole holders and my buddy and I troll every where we go.

Those little sneaks are good boats.  Even better with foot controlled trolling motor.
Happy hunting to all!

Sounds like a good fit. A small kayak is my choice for fishing, love it when you hook a 8-10 pound lunker bass and they fly out of the water right next to your yak when you are right on the waters level. A fish over 8 pounds tends to pull you around to which is even more fun! Happy fishing.

if it is the same boat that i am thinking of,a kyak paddle would work great.also try a push pole in sallow water.if it is the boat i am thinking of,they used to call them poke boats.those are awesome.

Kayak paddle should work great. They also work real good in a canoe.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I kayak fish and it's a blast!  Be sure to get a longer than average kayak paddle since your boat is wider than a kayak.
Florida to Kwajalein to Turkey and back in Florida again.  Good to be home but man was that an adventure!

Kayak paddle should work for you. Tim you fish the Lagoon any? I have a couple of Jacksons that I do all my fishing out of. Cuda and a Coosa. Rigged and ready to go.
