and it needs to be super glue right? I have the gorilla glue, stuff that is 2x stronger than the original, but is superglue better?

you want the runny super glue to saturate the thread and lock it all together, you can get 4 tubes for a buck and a half

so i finished putting superglue in the crack, its the really runny stuff, literally oosed through the crack and out the other side and is drying up clamped right now, when its dry ill put a wrap on it and call it good.

I've been posting my progress on this thread:

http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,37563.msg506960.html#msg506960

Three weeks of bad weather have put me a little behind schedule. I can only paint and polyurethane outside and we've had weeks of cold, wind, rain, and snow. It has been a terrible March.

Yesterday we had a nice day and I got the bow painted. Today and tonight I am going to do the detail painting. Tomorrow I should be able to polyurethane.

After that I all need to do is wrap the handle and make the good bowstring. I plan on the bow going out midweek.

Attempt #4 isn't coming in under weight.  I left it really too thick.  I have a lot of scraping to do.  Hopefully, I'll get done today.

I've got mine to low brace.  The tiller is looking pretty good, I just need to take some weight off.

Polyurethane today and tomorrow. Wrap handle and make string Thursday. Enjoy shooting it over the weekend. Shed some tears and mail it off on Monday.

Mine shipped last week and should arrive tomorrow. Tracked the parcel and all is on track. The one I am to recieve will be late for a very understandable reason. May or June from what I gather.
