Handle Question
« on: February 04, 2013, 09:26:06 pm »
I don't know if this should be in here or the "Hunting & Shooting" section.  So feel free to move it if it needs to be.  In planning my next bow, I was wondering if anyone has hunted deer or other big game with bow that has nothing wrapped on the handle?  You know what I mean, just off the bare wood?  On a side question, how many people here have hunted deer or anything really with a d-bow?

Generally,on Selfbows, the wrap makes for a better grip, but i have seen severall people, who dont use one.The strike plate area though, its better to have something,to dampen noise.

The First deer i ever shot, back thirty some years ago,was with a D bow my Grandad made.Actually,im headin back to the simplicity of the D bow, these days.
