Quite a while back Katt asked if I would like to trade bows. Of course I said yes but I was building 2 trade bows(last year) and I didn't know when I would get to it. Katt said OK and that was that...or so I thought. A short while later a cool little osage bow with snake skin backing and a horse hair tassle showed up on my door step. I contacted Katt to thank him for the bow but had to tell him I hadn't started one for him. He had no problem with that and said to send it whenever I got around to making it.
Well, I finally had a chance to work on this bow here and there over the last few months and I'm nearing the end. She will be 61"t/t, a little over 1" wide at the fades and with a deep, round belly. She will pull between 50# - 60#@26" when done and have cow horn tip overlays. I'm not sure if or how I will dress her up when the time comes but I still have about 10# to take off her and get the tiller squared away.
Heres a few pics...
