Il put the hood back on in a few days im making sure there arnt any other leaks before its on hehe iv had to replace one steel oil line already and lools like another mite be leaking . Super easy fixes here compared to the other problems it had hehe

I understand completely.  The unstyled old JD tractors didn't look much different with their sheet metal.

Awesome Sterling. Great job on saving a piece of history. My dad had an old Aliss Chamber Cat and I loved playing with it. It went with the ranch when he sold and moved back to Texas

Nice handy little tractor there.Kuddos to you for reserecting it from the dead.Put a hose heater on it to start in the winter.Should'nt even hardly need that though with it being a gasser.I don't know if it's possible but a conversion to a 12 volt system would help considerably on those colder mornings.Now you can search for more attachments for it.I always liked being out in the open driving a tractor except when it's -20 F with wind and moving snow.You might be able to find a make shift type of heat houser for it though too.The list will go on and on.

I don't think that tractor's gonna see even +20 very often down in Houston.  It's gonna lead a life of weather luxury, though that radiator's gonna be real important next July.

Yeah our winter is feb thats it haha and if we are lucky itl be 40deg its the 100+ heat in the summer thats a killer on equipment thanx for the info and i lucked out it was already converted to 12v
