I thought it was a great flim, what was the point of the short arrow with the bamboo guide? Faster arrow flight?

That thing is called a Korean overdraw. It is a wicked simple innovation imo. About the movie, I was sorely disappointed with the rubbish excuses for Manchurian bows. They looked like toys, which I thought was a pretty sad representation of a bow that was used to conquer all of china.

Although I guess it is to be expected in a movie made in Korea. Curiously, the Korean bows were very nice in contrast, lol.
