apple question
« on: December 19, 2012, 10:59:51 pm »
I was removing the bark from the back of an apple stave and I accidently cut through several growth rings in one spot because the wood was discolored and I thought it was cambium. The rings are super thin and hard to distinguish. Do I need to back this with something or does apple handle ring violations ok?

You should have a single, clean back ring or back it. Why was the wopod discolored? Fungi?
