Power outage bamboo straightening

The storm's a'comin... Soon I will have nothing to do but straighten bamboo over a candle...  It is my least favorite job but i have to do it, I dont like looking at hundred unstraightened pei CSS of boo

   It better be along storm and you better have a few candles for you to straighten that many. A heat gun works better and you don't have the burnt camo look.

YB2, this will be a good opportuntiy for you to improve and fine tune your cane straightening plus get a little help in the patience dept.  ;D Make up bundles of 6 or so smae size canes and only work a few at a time.
 Crooketarrow, heat guns are great as long as the electricity is on but for most of the Northeast that will be iffy. Candles, camping cook stoves or a gas kitchen range(what I use) will all work well.

Duc- yes it's sandy, and she hit us hard.
Between making sure neighbors are alright and biking to 7-11 to get ice I have only had time to straighten a handful, 9 perfectly straight and 3 broken... And now I need to make a new soda can - candle
