Making first batch of primitive arrows need some advice

One problem need to know do I crest arrow first or lacquer arrow first. Bought shafts bare but never done anything like this, help

Hey catfish, check in the arrow section above this one and I'm sure you will find some helpful info. I always stain/sealed and then crest later with a final coat over that. I don't crest much, I just need good shooting ammo
