Medicine Man: Elderberry by Steve Parker
« on: December 11, 2012, 03:38:11 pm »
I really enjoyed Steve's recent article.  I do not subscribe, but bought the winter edition off the rack.  So I apologize if Steve's credentials and knowledge-base have been printed before with his other writings, but I am curious as to his (your) ethnobotanic background, or heritage which may lend itself to your awareness of Native American uses.  I found the article to be accurate, and was wondering why (after the fiction-based-on-real-life story) Steve (you) did not choose to list any recent sources, or books/papers coauthored on similar subjects?  And since Steve (you) are listed on the inside cover as a moderator and associate editor, how would you feel if someone wanted to reprint the article in part, or in whole in a newsletter that promotes understanding of native plants?  I would like to get in touch, and have emailed Ed Ingold regarding this request, since I could readily find his email address on the website...could you ask him to forward my request on to you (Steve) too?  Cayt (Tacy)
