needed to make a few target arrows and had a small pile o cane in the shop.
typically use duplex nails for cane target arrows.
but i decided today to carve a cupla hickory points.
heated em over the firepit to get em hard.
shot em both about 20 times into a bag target.
they hit hard, sunk in deep and no damage.
im thinking these would make good small game points.
any yall used hardwood points for hunting small game?
so these are just as stated above, nothing fancy, not quality hunting arrows, not what i would make for someone else.
just fast n easy, down n dirty target arrows.
split the cane at the nock to insert one single feather.
feathers that are not much good for better quality arrows.
nevertheless these arrows fly straight and i sure they'd take a bunny or a squirrel or similar
