Few more.

Chris, Sorry about the crappy fur silencers on the string.  I had some problems cutting them out.  I have got your bow out like 4 times tonight and just looked it over.  I can't wait to start flinging arrows out of it tomorrow.

After I got caught up on sleep today I finally got a chance to try out the bow Pearly sent me.  Man is it sweet.  It pulls smooth with no handshock and hits right where I'm looking.  I love the handle wrap on it.  I'm going to have to try that style sometime.  Here are a few pictures of it.

And some more.

Thanks again Chris.  This bow will definitely see some time in the woods this fall.

Kip Winger if you wrap your Ace a little tighter around your rawhide it will imprint it. Thats what makes the stain look like that. Sometimes I do that and sometimes I dont, depends on if it gets covered or not.

Cool deal, fellas. You should both be happy!! 8)

Man, you both made out like a couple of bandits! Love the tips on the Osage, thanks for posting them.

The HHB has some good looking character to it! Well done Pearl!

Y'all did great on both ends of that trade.  Those are excellent bows!  I don't know which one I like better - the osage is beautiful and that stain job on the rawhide is awesome.  Great work guys.

I think I came out ahead on this trade.  The bow I got shoots so smooth and it is really light in the hand.  It hardly weighs anything at all.

Pearly, is a rawhide backing as sensitive to moisture as a sinew backed bow?

Nope. That bow is good to go anywhere you do and the humidity wont make much diff at all with HHB. Its double dipped and that just doesnt allow anything to get in without a fight. And the back has two layers of TBIII to further keep moisture out of the wood.
