Still fairly new at bow building and until today I felt that maybe I was doing something wrong??? I have build 26 bows and haven't had one blow (in my presents.... my neighbor Bob's bow broke but I had shot a least 100 arrows through it before I gave it to him)..... Well I finally feel like I belong

I was getting pretty close to a finished tiller when.... Boooooooooom!!!!! scared the Kaaaa-rap out of me

The whole time I was working on it it felt exceptionally stiff and the physical weight was very light. I even backed it before my final tillering. I did some heat straighting and maybe that did it. I didn't think a piece of wood could be so loud!!! Glad I've got a half dozen bows in progress,,, back to work....
