This was made from fibers left over from the bowstring project. The fibers were dyed in berry wine i made this summer as a dye. I dyed the thread and served it on the fringe and rim. The idea was to make a pouch to hold the seed fibers. These seed will be dropped to determine wind drection and current while hunting.

Great idea!  I like using the fibers for wind direction too, but I've been using an old film canister (remember those?) with a hole drilled in the bottom and a pin on the back.  It was functional, but what you've got there is way better.  After all, I like to look the part, at least until someone sees me shoot!  Thanks for sharing.

Very nice job on the cordage.  It will be a good milkweed and dogbane season this year if the rains hold off. There is a lot of both. I might have to make some pouches like that for the Indian Musuem Gift Shop.

Very cool John. That would be a great pouch for keeping spare stone points ;)

Ya I have way more respect for this kinda stuff now that I have made some stuff. I am going label my art work as a movement called  "connectionism" because of the understanding and origin of materials used in a computer age.

Thanks Pappy! Funny thing this little pouch has more fibers per inch than the milkweed string I made.

Nice job on that little bag! Cattail down also works well as wind indicators.
