Isaac and the hickory bow
« on: August 08, 2012, 11:43:54 am »
I have been enjoying the other part of the process and that is watching my son enjoying archery. Here is a pic of a happy kid.

I generally prefer to avoid the presence of kids.  Isaac is one glaring exception to that rule.  He's a great kid, a good conversationalist, and a wonderful companion to shoot with.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Uh, yeah, it's a, well...um...bow?

About all I can remember is that it is really long, red oak with rawhide backing and some snakeskin slipped on it.  It wasn't fully finished at the time, but I gave it to Isaac so would get some use.  I'm just happy it's getting used!

Did Isaac ever put any finish on the bow?
